Homemade Christmas

This is the wreath I was talking about Riley making, Lexy and Zoey made the cookies I like to call 'snowballs', and this is the scarf I am knitting for Lexy's friend and former roomate, Kate. Happy home made Christmas. I'm getting to be more like my twin in the universe, the other Sandra Lee!

Blue Christmas

It's just like me to get my craft on at the eleventh hour! I saw this wreath idea on Rachel Berry's blog, which she had found on Eddie Ross...so I went to the dollar store and bought up a bunch of the plastic bulbs and some hangers with the intent of making wreaths to give away and also for our house. Several weeks later, i.e. this morning, I finally got in the mood. Riley worked on a red, green and gold one and I made this silver and blue one. They were actually quite simple and turned out quite beautiful. I must get in gear earlier next year and make a few to give away, and a few more to decorate with!

The Thrill of the Hunt

I scored some really fun finds at a yardsale today. I got an old suitcase, two old porch rails, a canteen, camp stool, tiny warmer that looks like a trash burner, and a couple of books. Fun stuff. The garage is getting a bit loaded with all my 'treasures'. Might have to have a yard sale to sell some of my yard sale finds. I even got a mood ring that reminds me of one I had in the seventies. Now I can wear it and know what mood I'm in!

Have a seat

I got this chair for $2 at a yard sale, in much rougher shape. I got the fabric for the seat at a yard sale for $1, and with the can of brown paint to paint it, I was into it for about $6 and sold it for $30. It turned out really cute.

Sister Shic at Country Chicks

Stephanie thought of our new business name and made this cute sign for our first show with our official title. Cute, cute! She also made us fun necklaces to wear that you can't see real, and as you can see we wore cowboy boots, aprons and hats.

Some photos of our booth.

Treasures

On my last yardsale outing I really scored! Every sale had something I wanted or needed! The kids were staying the night with Lexy at her apartment, having a movie and pizza night before she headed back to college, so Jeff and I headed out to enjoy the morning kid free.

I bought this bed frame at a previous sale a few weeks ago, but it didn't have the side rails. This last weekend I found some siderails to go with. They were $25 , which I thought was a bit spendy, but they were needed. This little beauty is going to be a daybed on my back deck.

I found two of these pillows for my trailer, at $1 apiece. Very cool!

Got this pink and brown fabric for .50 cents. I plan to make some curtains and/or pillows for the trailer.

Got this vintage bag for $1. I plan to take it to my "Sisters on the Fly" campout as a flea market item.

These little beauties were just $5 for the pair, and work great on the front covered patio/walkway.

These I got as a craft make over project, a vintage laundry 'stirrer' and a dustpan. Someone painted them in a watermelon theme, but for $1 each I figured I could give them a shabby chic vintage makeover.

We got this little chair for $5, and the guy threw in the desk for free. I think it may be a telephone stand or something in it's next life.

I have been wanting to make a coat rack pole, had torn out ideas from magazines for my future pole project. But I found this one for $3! All it needs is a new paint job and rusty hooks!

This rooster was $1 and the metal cabinet was a freebie!

These gorgeous egg like knobs were .75 cents a piece! I have been wanting new/old knobs for the kitchen and loved these!

Look what I found!

I love, love, love this chair! It's a raspberry red color with fringe across the back. I got it for the cabin. Cute!
What a find! A full set of four for only $1.
I got this basket for $2 and spray painted it this color. Turned out so cute!

This little beauty was only .25 cents! Another great find for the cabin. (backyard guest cabin)

Saturday was our spring 'Something Special' bazaar. Below are some photos from our booth, always a show stopping favorite! (Thanks to Stephanie!)

On the left you can see one of the corner door shelves Jeff put together for me. Love it!
